Monitoring and Well Site Supervision

🔹 1. Daily Operations Monitoring

  • Oversee all drilling or completion activities.
  • Ensure adherence to the drilling/completion program and timeline.
  • Monitor crew efficiency and service provider performance.
  • Track NPT (Non-Productive Time) and take corrective actions.

🔹 2. Safety & Compliance Monitoring

  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) protocols on site.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and drills.
  • Monitor for unsafe behaviors or conditions and take immediate action.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

🔹 3. Equipment and Rig Performance

  • Monitor the condition and performance of rig equipment (e.g., pumps, top drive, BOP stack).
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of critical systems.
  • Track inventory of materials and consumables.

🔹 4. Fluid Systems Monitoring

  • Monitor drilling mud, cement, completion fluids, or stimulation fluids.
  • Track properties like viscosity, weight, pH, and additives.
  • Ensure fluid systems meet required specifications.

🔹 5. Pressure and Volume Monitoring

  • Monitor wellbore pressures, circulation rates, kick indicators, and gas levels.
  • During completions: monitor pumping pressures, proppant concentrations, and fluid volumes during frac jobs.
  • Ensure pressure control equipment (BOPs) is functioning and tested.

🔹 6. Environmental Monitoring

  • Monitor for spills, leaks, or environmental hazards.
  • Ensure waste disposal and cuttings handling follow regulations.
  • Track emissions or noise levels if applicable.

🔹 7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Submit daily drilling/completion reports (DDR/DCR).
  • Record operational metrics, delays, safety incidents, and costs.
  • Maintain shift logs, inspection checklists, and handover notes.
