Well Site Supervision

Well site supervision involves managing and overseeing drilling, completion, or workover operations at the wellsite to ensure they are executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. The Well Site Supervisor (WSS) acts as the operator’s representative in the field and is responsible for coordinating personnel, equipment, and procedures.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

    1. Operational Oversight
        • Supervise daily rig activities (drilling, casing, cementing, frac, etc.).
        • Ensure work is carried out per the approved program and schedule.

    2. Safety & Compliance 
        • Enforce strict HSE standards and conduct safety briefings.
        • Respond to incidents and maintain regulatory compliance.

    3. Crew & Contractor Coordination 
        • Manage rig crew, service providers, and third-party contractors.
        • Ensure clear communication between all teams.

    4. Monitoring & Reporting 
        • Track operational performance, equipment status, and material use.
        • Submit daily reports and maintain accurate documentation.

    5. Problem Solving & Decision Making 
        • Address downhole problems, equipment failures, or delays quickly.
        • Liaise with office-based engineers for real-time support.
